
Tanya Segel, Managing Partner
Tanya Segel, Founder and Managing Partner, brings a wealth of experience leading commercial (re)development and investment projects, from working at leading real estate investment advisors, as a consultant, and as a volunteer in the community. She has taken projects from due diligence through pre-development (environmental planning, zoning, site planning, financial feasibility), design, construction, financing, tenant coordination and on-going operations to reposition properties to maximize value. She has worked on retail, office, airport retail/concession areas, and mixed-use projects, where development costs ranged from approximately $10 million to hundreds of millions of dollars.
Ms. Segel’s expertise was honed working as Vice President – Development at The O’Connor Group, Director of Development at MarketPlace Development, and as an urban planner with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. With additional experience outside the real estate industry as a consultant and investment banker, Ms. Segel is also skilled at evaluating strategic alternatives at both the property and firm levels.
Ms. Segel received an S.B. in Urban Planning & Design from MIT and an MBA in Real Estate & Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She is an Associate Member of ULI, has served in leadership roles in a variety of community organizations, and is an Educational Counselor for MIT.
